Well, today is Thanksgiving. I just wanted to wish everyone who should happen to read this blog a very Happy and Safe Thanksgiving. We are having beautiful weather here in OKC today. It's going to be in the high 70s and I'm wearing shorts! Hard to believe, but it sure is nice. I have to say that I'm very thankful for all of the blessings that God as given me, including my friends, family, health, good job, and, of course, my partner Bill. It's great that we have a day that allows us a chance to really reflect on the things in our life that we have which we should be thankful for. Again, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Goodbye Mr. Rumsfeld...

Well, yesterday was a great day for me It was wonderful to finally see this country speak loudly to the White House that we are fed up with how things have been run over the past 6 years and that it is finally time for a change. I think that plenty of time and chances were given to both the Republican Congress and administration to make the changes that were needed. Yet, under this group we have seen our American rights limited and taken away in some instances. I have watched as lie after lie has been told to us by this administration with no real punishment following. It has been such a joke, and it has been one that has made me very sad over the past few years. Yesterday morning when I woke up and heard the news of the change that is coming, I actually felt something that I haven't felt in a long time.......HOPE! I can finally hope that this Country will begin to get on the right track and that we can be that shining lighthouse to the World that we used to be. I was walking on cloud 9, then I even got better news....Rumsfeld resigned. I was speechless....and I think that I even heard the angels in Heaven singing. It was so past time for this to happen, but I'm finally glad that it did. All I can say, is goodbye Mr. Rumsfeld....and good riddance!
